Innovation Precincts Influencing Future Industries
Melbourne Connect presents: Innovation Precincts Influencing Future Industries
Working from home has radically altered our relationship with work and the workplace. For innovation districts and innovation precincts—geographies of innovation built on the principles of physical proximity, face to face communication, and density—their unique attributes raise new questions during a time of social distancing. Yet, evidence and experience is demonstrating that districts are on the “front lines of change.” They are driving new waves of innovation in how to design new types of public spaces and how to create new types of on-line communities. This video captures a few segments of a panel session titled, “Innovation Precincts Influencing Future Industries,” which was organized and moderated by Melbourne University, an important anchor of the Melbourne Innovation District. The panel includes Julie Wagner, the President of The Global Institute on Innovation Districts.
Moderated by James Green, Director, Engagement Strategy, University of Melbourne
